Whats the next big controller innovation?

#1lt519Posted 1/28/2013 11:01:59 AM
In the spirit of today's poll; what is the next big controller innovation going to be? Preferably unannounced, I want to see how creative people can get.

So far we have what was listed in the poll and assuming biometrics is on the way, let's exclude that too. Valve is working on some power glove remake? A more fleshed out voice command control system would be sweet and more advanced mind control (other than making a ping pong ball move up, down, back and forward). Some more mind control stuff was shown at CES, it was pretty cool.

For the next iteration though, what's it going to be? I'm stumped. Eye-tracking?

HMD with headtracking and dual gloves that can do 1:1 tracking and replication of every hand and finger movement.

Give me this,Metroid,Zelda,Zombi U 2 and I'll go and gladly waste away in my dark, cold and silent room.

and people mock the Wii U Gamepad.

A new patent from Sony suggests the company is working on a redesigned, customizable Move controller. Published just last week, the patent reveals images of the more ergonomic Move controller

I think it's stupid how force feedback is seen as a 'modern' innovation, when it was already done 2 generations ago -__-

We've had enough innovations for a while now, time for each company to perfect their technologies before moving on to something else. They shouldn't stop until they've explored every possibility.

I know, we get it. It's been posted a bunch of times already, and by you no less. Time to move on.
