I don't really care that Tomb Raider is skipping the Wii U, because I don't follow the series, but seriously guys, everytime a game skips the Wii U, you're going to pretend it isn't a big deal? Really? Stop acting like jackasses. The Wii U is a gaming system. Current game released skipping over a gaming system is a pretty big deal.

Oh, and nobody is buying the whole "Herp derp, why you want last-gen games on a next-gen system? ROFL!" Some of the best games out on the Wii U so far have been "last-gen" games. Let's face it, without Arkham City, Assassin's Creed 3, Darksiders 2, and CoD: Black Ops 2, the Wii U launch would have looked much worse. And aren't people amped for Aliens: Colonial Marines? And Rayman Legends? Aren't those "last-gen" games? Yes, they are. So stop with that bullcrap. Nobody is buying it. Wii U needs games, and when stuff like Bioshock Infinite skips over the console, it does in fact hurt the system.

bioshock will hurt the system ? that crap ? not really lol tomb raider .....maybe a veeeeeeeery little bit but bioshock...no.

now get a cold shower dude and calm down. you're like the crazy hysterical guy in a movie who get's killed first.

You can't even talk to the NDF sometimes........

The Nintendo Defense Force. It is what people call fanboys when they start making outrageous claims, like saying the Wii U is better off for losing third party support.

No the problem is people like to act like the whole damn world will end because we arent getting games that they werent interested until they found out Wii U wasnt getting them. Except GTA5. That is tragic.

DmC? That game suddenly got a fanbase when it was revealed that the Wii U wouldnt get it.

Same with Lords of Shadow 2.

Same with Bayoneta 2 when Nintendo decided to bring it out of limbo.

Except Bayonetta 2 got leagues of hate.

One of the few times 360 and PS3 owners were united on something. Too bad it was directed at the wrong company. I bet Sony and MS are gonna facepalm themselves if the game sales like hot cakes and becomes a system seller.

Bayonetta sold less than 1 mil on 360 and little over 1 mil on PS3. Combined both systems and it STILL sold less than 2 mil.

It wont sell well on Wii U its a fact if it barely sold well on the PS3/360 so i doubt they care.

Tomb Raider was being developed for the 360/PS3 before the WiiU was even announced. Why would they scramble to make a WiiU port?

Such double standards in topics like these. If a multi-plat game appears on Wii U, people say WiiU has the inferior version or a cheap port or whatever. If it doesn't come on WiiU, people say WiiU has no games.

In other words, people like to LOOK for a reason to hate something, and 3rd party ports (or lack thereof) are an extremely easy avenue to take.

Tomb Raider was being developed for the 360/PS3 before the WiiU was even announced. Why would they scramble to make a WiiU port?

For the same reason Wii U got games like Arkham Asylum, Darksiders 2, Black Ops 2, Madden 2013, Epic Mickey 2, Rayman Legends, Assassins Creed 3, and whatever other games came out on the 360/PS3. Or for the same reason Aliens: Colonial Marines is managing to get a Wii U release. Or for the same reason High Moon Studios said Transformers: Fall of Cybertron wouldn't be coming out for the PC, and then announced much much later in the development cycle that it was in fact being ported.

The reason for all of those? Because businesses exist to make money, and if they thought there was a high demand for their game on a particular system, they'd be stupid to neglect that revenue stream. The fact companies aren't concerned with making their games available on the Wii U instills in me the worrisome premonition that such companies are under the impression there isn't money to be made there. When a company becomes dissuaded from releasing games on the Wii U, that isn't good for the Wii U.

Such double standards in topics like these. If a multi-plat game appears on Wii U, people say WiiU has the inferior version or a cheap port or whatever. If it doesn't come on WiiU, people say WiiU has no games.

If a game comes out on the Wii U and it is an inferior version, then calling it out on being inferior isn't a crime. And if the games simply don't come to the Wii U, that is still bad. It isn't a double standard, it is the truth. The PS Vita catches similar ridicule. So does the PC, as it is frequently passed over for multi-platform titles. And when the PC does get multi-platform titles, like Battlefield 3, people aren't afraid to point out the PS3/360 versions are inferior to the PC. Stop pretending people are just picking on the Wii U. It happens to every platform.

In other words, people like to LOOK for a reason to hate something, and 3rd party ports (or lack thereof) are an extremely easy avenue to take.

Um.... yeeeeeeeaaaah, why WOULDN'T AAA games skipping the Wii U be an easy avenue to take? A gaming system missing out on big games is a pretty substantial issue. Could you imagine a news agency that fails to cover the biggest stories being reported by its competition? Or a movie theater that never shows the highly anticipated blockbusters shown in other theaters?

Yeah, we all love Nintendo for their first party games. It still doesn't help them out any when people have to go elsewhere to play games that Nintendo was the only company to miss out on.
