Companies like THQ and Junction Point are now boarded up.

But Nintendo is expanding and restructuring for a new gen?

Hmmmmmmm.........

So long hardcore/fanboy games, Nintendo games seem to make more money?

Nintendo has always made the most money in the video game market. This is old news.

Though their consoles were either successful or not, it's their handhelds that help them through. Without the handhelds, Nintendo would lose more than they could gain. Even if the Wii U falls behind this gen, they could benefit from it from the 3DS success. They only way Nintendo would fall under is if both handheld and console failed and for now it doesn't seem like they will.

Nintendo has only one focus and it's games it's a lot easier for them to patch their leaky boats than other companies especially coming of off the cash cow that was Wii. They'll be around for a while.
