I posted this on the 360 board, but I figured I'd get some more opinions. I'm copying and pasting the message:

My friend and I were talking and we decided we want to make a video on youtube listing the best first boss fights of a game. Most of the bosses at the beginning of a game are tutorial, or no challenge, and most of the "Top ten" lists of boss fights are final bosses, so he and I decided to make a video depicting ones that are awesome experiences.

Ridley from Super Metroid. He's literally your first opponent in the game. After you beat him, the space station you're at counts down to self destruct. Epic.

Non-Nintendo: Any of the God Of War games, but mainly God of War 3. No explanation needed.

Nintendo: Amorbis from Metroid Prime 2. Not really the first boss, but the first MAIN boss. I loved the music and the battle was epic.

Yeah, first God of War 3 battle is one of the best of the game, visually mostly, there are 2-3 more in the game, but that one, God ,is awesome.....

From what I hear, Bayonetta 2's first boss will be very impressive.
