The Wii U had Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U, plus amazing third-party ports from the PS3 and 360. What did the Wii have? Not much besides Wii Sports and Twilight Princess, both mediocre games at best.

I liked it more, it had five games I wanted while the Wii only had two, the ones you listed (I do like them though, and don't see them as mediocre). The Wii U is my favorite console launch ever.

Yeah Wii launched with a port of a Gamecube Zelda with tacked on motion controls.
Oh and there was bunch of shovel ware. Now you tell me which launch was better?

The Wii U does have a better launch lineup. The problem though is that the launch lineup included of a number of titles that had already been available months before on competing consoles.

The Wii wins because Elebits is better than anything that is likely to ever be released for the Wii U.

Wii had Trauma Center and Excite Truck.

Oh yeah. Excite Truck was f***ing awesome. Nothing on the U has given me anything even close to that feeling yet.

Wii U has better third party launch titles, no doubt about that. As for exclusives, it's basically Twilight Princess, Trauma Center and Red Steel vs NSMBU, ZombiU and Scribblenauts Unlimited. The thing about that is Twilight Princess trumps them all, but it was in fact more of a port.

Nintendo Land kicks the **** out of Wii Sports, I can tell you that.

For me the Wii had nothing good at launch except Twilight Princess and Wii sports. Wii U has more "good" games available at launch, but Twilight Princess alone was way better for me.

I think the launch line up for Wii U was one of the better launch line ups out there. Granted most the game were ports but they were ports of very good games.
