Keep in mind these numbers are the number of units shipped.

Exactly, 3 million units sold to retailers and every retailer has them in stock, stacks of them..

Wii U is not selling to consumers, hence why stores are selling them at a sale price or tossing in a game

grasping at straws now... you dont know what retailers have them and what dont

You're right, I don't shop and I don't communicate with people across the country I live in or others. I'm clearly blind and obviously tripping when I see stacks of the consoles in the stores or the articles even stating from retailers such as Gamestop, etc that the console is not doing well as they thought it would.

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/418996/20121228/wii-u-sales-figures-stumble.htm

etc,etc

and these websites have contact with every store across the country?

I don't see any positive news from stores regarding the Wii U sales, would you care to point some of those articles out for us?

Gamestop is one of the largest video game retailers in the world. It holds around 40-50% of all game sales.

That alone would be any further evidence of the lack of sales the Wii U is generating. I'm not sure why you try to even debate this even further.

Also, apparently these are shipped numbers and not sold numbers. Which fanboys on this board said don't count when Sony does it, so... :)

Or you could, just, you know, admit the blatant hypocrisy and the lengths you take it to and move on.

You do realize that someone doesn't have to source common knowledge in college papers, right?

Therefore, that same logic should apply here.

You are still a hypocrite. You want a source? Here:

Even if they're not selling 3 mil units, N's forecast only raises to 4 mil by March. That would mean that if the stores are saturated with units, they expect to sell about 1 mil to consumers.

It's not good news. But it does show that they could put near 12 mil units in living rooms around the world by year's end.
