Would you buy MegaMan 2.5D If Nintendo picked it up as an exclusive? Trailers.

There are more videos on the account page. Before we talk about it, if we talk about it, lets try to refrain from the rather irrelevant "Capcom would never pay these developers and if they did it would never be exclusive to the Wii-U." stuff. Even though work like this is exactly where companies find developers, whether or not its possible defeats the purpose of the question and just drives the topic off-topic.

Anyways, would you buy a MegaMan game like this? Would you want MegaMan to go into this direction, or just keep getting standard sequels and a hopeful 3d entry that doesnt suck?

Lets say the game consists of 10 "worlds". It would be somewhat like a traditional 2d Mario style. Each time you enter a world you get the story of the game etc... and then the levels are played out with adjustments to weapon balancing and the such. If need be, Dr Wily new games you each time you enter a new world so weapon balancing doesnt become and issue. Basically, we would be getting MegaMan 1-10 as one game, in this style. Adjustments could easily be made though or talked about here.

Co-Op, online, challenge modes etc.. Everyone said no to the very high quality Blood Omen remake that looks better than any classic game a modern developer has made, really it destroys every 2d Zelda game in quality as well. So if the reason is no because its fan-made, just remember, fans are where our games come from nowadays.

I'll buy any Mega Man game that isn't a port of one of the classic or X games or whatever that Xover game was trying to do.

Holy cow! I want this! Maybe the creator should do a kickstarter?

Hate to say it, but Capcom shutting down MegaMan 2.5D seems much more likely.

But I could see myself buying it, either as a download, or as a part of a bigger disc package.

I was hoping megaman 10 would have had co-op. Heck or even the ability to switch between megaman or protoman. This just looks so fun. If street fighter x megaman was greenlit hopefully this can be

They cant accept money to develop this or pay developers to help out. Also, it appears they are using the original assets as well which is illegal for a fan game. A lot of times companies open lawsuits or cease and desists for original works based on an established IP even though there is no possible way they can win in court. They only do because the creators simply dont have hundreds of thousands to fight back, if they did it wouldnt be possible for the companies to win as its no different than drawing your own artwork of your favorite character.

Check out Sonic Fan Remix and tell me you wouldn't take this over the recent Sonic games released.

You can find the demo floating around somewhere as well as the unfinished WIP for Chemical Plant.

There is a difference between co-op and Mandatory Co-op. If there is a seperate co-op mode then that is fine.
