Everybody knows the wii u is having weak sales. Even Nintendo. The only ones still denying it are the delusional fanboys.

They are still posting big profits... so what's so bad for the company?

Thats revenue. Their operating costs are far greater than their current revenue due to slumping sales.

The way companies work is they forecast what they think and item will bring in, and then they set their budgets which is whats needed for them to know how many games they can work on, how much time they spend on them.

Well if said item doesnt sell like they thought, but they still planned project budgets on what they thought their revenue was going to be, suddenly they are bleeding money. They dont need the U to just do ok, they need it to blow up and do extremely well.

Can you imagine how much money they are spending to deal with this lack of games problem? Noones saying they will go under, but usually problems like this effect the games. They might put a couple on hold, they might rush other ones out.

seriously its hilarious only fanboys aren't calling it weak when nintendo and every other news out there says it is.

3m shipped to retailers in two months, but retailers havn't been able to sell those off = lowered forecasts from 5.5m to 4m.

System sold 3 million units in less than 3 months. How many other systems can claim that? Only the Wii sold more.

See my previous post. It simply is not enough for them. They have a crap ton of employees and outside contractors trying to fix the lack of game issue that everyone is complaining about which they recently apologized for. They thought it would have sold more than 3 mil right now and budgeted on that.

Oops.

3m units have been sold not shipped.

"As of December 2012, the Wii U had sold 3.06 million units worldwide (we made an educated guess at 3 million a couple of weeks ago). That breaks down to around 1.32 million in North America, 900,000 in Europe and 830,000 in Japan. The Wii shifted 3.53 million from April to December. Nintendo has previously stated that it aims to sell 5.5 million Wii Us before the end of March, but it has now revised this target to 4 million."

3 million during the time where companies for 80% of their business, the Xmas holidays, is not good. Now the system is selling 40K a week if its lucky.

Wii U is not bad. Just priced WAY too high.

We'll be seeing $250 soon for Deluxe. And I will buy at the price, even though it's still high.
