I fail to see how a store sale is anything negative.
Nintendo still gets the same amount of money and they get more hardware units sold.

Costco is also a members only store and regularly have things on sale (they have some absolutely great deals on TVs).

A $50 dollar membership. If anyone plans on becoming a member to buy a WiiU...well there's $350 right there.

Let's be real here, Costco benefits outweigh the membership fee

Sure... If you buy a lot of **** there. I'd rather not pay to save money though. I doubt I'd ever spend enough there to make my savings higher than $50.

I can't let this one go. Costco is the quintessential American store. The food court alone is worth going. Everyone should have a Costco membership. This is coming from a not-obese person.

All dem free samples. It makes the unsettling vastness of the store seem less intimidating somehow.
But I agree, Costco is great...if you buy in bulk and aren't a very frugal shopper to begin with.
I rarely bothered with mine after I bought my TV because of it's location.

Not necessarily the case. Nintendo could be offering rebate dollars on each console sold in an attempt to move consoles. Most likely not the case, but possible.
