Darkneo20 posted...ok i will put it in the most basic simple terms anyone can understand .
I WILL NOT pay the same price for 5year old technology with a gimmik attached to it that does not look better than the consoles that are out right now which have REAL NEXT GEN successors coming out this year which will have superior games on it
nintendo is just greedy for money their console is not worth their asking price and i would rather have just the console for what it is worth minus the second screen gimmik than pay what they want for it
and i bet u all $20 when the orbis and *xbox* drop nintendo will go into panic mode and their price will magically drop at least $50
Then don't. I'm enjoying my WiiU and I will continue to enjoy because it will have great first party games and unique gaming experience. The gamepad will be used in unique ways that make them different than anything MS and Sony put out. If it's too hard for you to look at two screens during an intense moment, then don't buy a WiiU. Nintendo's graphics will never be better than MS and Sony when it comes to realism, but the art style is what many people like, so if you don't like the art styles, stick with MS and Sony (actually you should get a PC for graphics, but whatever).
If it's greedy to want to profit by putting out a product unique to your field, then yes, they are greedy, but they're selling it at a loss, so it's probably safe to say it's worth what they're asking. I can guarantee that MS and Sony will also sell their products for close to what it costs to make them and play them the way they're designed, but I won't call them greedy for trying to sell their games with graphics even though I don't care if the graphics go any further than they are. I won't call them greedy because they're just doing business. If you're not in business to make money, you're not going to last.
As for a price drop, that will depend heavily on when the systems are released. I would bet $500 that that the WiiU doesn't receive a price drop in the next 16 months. If it takes longer than that to get both out (at least one will be out, but one might have a set back) then when the second one comes out, sure, but not before that.
