Since NintendoLand was actually good...does that mean Ninty's E3 2012 is better?

I'd say it's not better, because the way they showed off NintendoLand is what made everyone hate it before playing it.

The people who hate it are generally the ones who have no intention of buying a Wii U anyway. So the same people will hate whatever Nintendo presents for what ever arbitrary reason they can come up with.

I feel like they only focused on Nintendoland so much because Retro bailed at the last minute.

That's still an unsubstantiated rumor. I've never seen anything to validate that. The only thing that came close were the "sources" that said Retro would show off something at E3. You have to realize that about 95% of the time, "sources" know absolutely nothing about what is actually gonna happen.

Still, even with Nintendo Land being good, they still dropped the ball on e3. They had two or three games that were announced right after their conference that they could have shown off at their show (The Wonderful 101 comes to mind).

These days, all the kids are playing M rated games while the adults are lining up for Pokemon. Which game is a kid's game now?

Nah, it was still a pretty poorly-structured presentation. Nintendo really needs to hire somebody with a solid understanding of a three act structure to plan these presentations for them. They need to build and build and end on an exciting note, not build and build and end in a "meh."

Nintendoland was a good game. Not worth spending that huge of a chunk on. Still though - They really didn't have much else at the time.
