So I hooked up my GameCube to play Wind Waker and my god

I've never been so horrified by AV Cables. Even though I've had an Xbox 360 for almost two years, this has never looked so bad. It's not awful, but man it's still pretty bad!
Also, the GameCube is a pretty loud machine too, louder than I remember.

I keep my Wii and Wii U hooked to my big full HD plasma and my N64 and Gamecube to my smaller old LCD specifically for this reason. I once tried connecting my N64 to the HD tv with its normal AV cable... Many lulz were had.

Had a Street Fighter signature for four years, but Crapcom doesn't deserve such recognition anymore.

Really? I don't remember my GC ever making a sound, and I never once cleaned the fan.

It's mostly just the disc spinning but it's still decently loud.

It's hard to go back to 480i. But if it's if any consolation, 480p still looks good on HDTVs. And your GCN might be loud because the disc drive is old and worn. I don't remember it bring loud either.

I still have my gamecube hooked up, and makes no noise at all, about the game, playing a 480i game with 4:3 screen ratio in a 720p/1080p with a 16:9 ratio is a bad combo....
