pre-ordering digital games?

I mean, if updates download automatically, couldn't you pre-order(pay off) a digital game, do something productive until a set release day, and have it automatically download?

I don't think we can pre-order digital games as of yet. Would be a nice feature to add for the future.

How is being able to preload games and play them the instant they release, let alone access to DLC preorder bonuses a stupid concept?

whats dumb about pre-ordering a digital game so that it auto downloads when it releases like the TC mentioned? personally i think its a great idea.

Personally, I think it is a great idea. Pre-purchasing digital games and then they download automatically when they release.
