ok i tried to use my system today as normal hdmi wont work and after some testing,i noticed that inside the hdmi port on the system, some of the....trinkets(dunno how to call them, the copper-like lines that are both above and under the central part) the ones on the underside are bent backwards in the back of the output.... a/v cable( the wii's) works fine what should i do??? --- vengeance will be mine!! Get another HDMI cable for 5 bucks or less online. --- It's like my Rattata is in the top percentage of Rattatas.

It might be due to any of these:
- The system you bought may be used. - Someone at your local retailer must had plug something in their before that is not HDMI compatible. - It got defect when it was shipped to the store. - It got defect when it was shipped from Nintendo.
Anyway you look at it, if you can just try using a small metal tool to reposition the pin and try replugging the HDMI again, if it still doesn't work then sent it to Nintendo for repair or replacement. Better to have repair or a refurbished console over a dead one.
