So many games require it, especially for multiplayer for nintendoland...

They should have taken the loss and included either that or a Pro Controller.

They probably assumed that most people already have the controllers from the Wii. I wouldn't be surprised if it came bundled later on though. A lot of the early adopters probably already had a Wii in the first place.

Agreed with Dark_Link. The only reason why Wii motes are compatible in the first place is that they were assumed to already be owned. Nintendo stated somewhere that this would decrease cost in playing with a family/friends because you already own some of the controllers.

The variety of controllers as well as the insane amount of peripherals really annoys me. I have a pro controller, three wii motes, a gamepad--not to mention two nintendo racing wheels etc etc. I hope Nintendo starts to utilize the pro controllers more--especially for multiplayer since I dislike the motion controls with my TV set up

I originally had a wii with so many accessories and controllers but traded that all in years ago for a ps3.

I'm coming into the wii u with nothing :/

On top of that, since I have a black wii u, I'm tempted to make sure all my accessories share the same color.

At least, by now, wii motion controllers should include a nunchuck. Buying the controllers in separate pieces is unnecessary at this point

I bought the wii u thinking it was something new, but it's basically a upgraded wii. I'm very happy with the system thus far, but damn this thing is getting pricy.

Consider getting a Nyko Wand+... its actually more comfortable than the standard Wiimotes, especially held sideways (NES style)... larger 1+2 buttons and more comfortable D pad... I got a regular Nyko Wand (no motion+) for $8 on Amazon... Wand+ was going for $25... quite a bit cheaper than the regular Wiimotes... I have three WiiMotes and a Wand... and the wand is compatible with Nintendo Nunchuk and Motion+ attachment... I like it...
