Since when does a more powerful console mean we should get the PS3/360 games?

I don't understand why people think the Wii U should be getting all of these games just because it can handle them. Sure, we're not getting a lot of games yet, but that doesn't mean we should be getting all of the games that the PS3 and 360 are getting. That wouldn't give any more reason to buy a Wii U. How is Nintendo doomed if we don't get these games? If someone doesn't like the Wii U because it's not getting games, these games wouldn't make a difference because they'd still be able to get those games on the consoles they probably already have.

I'm having fun with the games I have now, and I'm going to continue to have fun when the new games come out. If you want to play the other games, get one of the other consoles. It's always been that way, I don't see why it's different now.
