So I think this actually was missed over entirely last gen.

Back when the Wiimote was announced I made a topic almost immediately about how this was the perfect opportunity for a Mario Paint reboot. I felt the new fangled aiming device would be a novel tool for casual digital painting and mini games. It seems no one at Nintendo felt the same, apart from the mini games anyway.

Sooo here we are with yet another peripheral even more suited for rebooting Mario Paint. Here's to waiting another 7 years fruitlessly? :D

*I'm actually aware of similar things like the Wii Photo Channel. Just sayin'*

Colour! 3D?
Flipnote Studio?
Art Academy?

Sorry Nintendo doesn't need to slap Mario on their Art products anymore. Admittedly Flipnote Memo was pushed back by Swapnote, and a new Art Academy. Then there's the fact that there hasn't been any announcements of a WiiU version of any of them.

why do people still want Mario Paint?

Its just a generic paint program with a basic notation system with the Mario skin slapped on it.

Metroid Zero Mission and Super Metroid are some of the finest 2D games ever made and are the best in the series.
Metroid Fusion is pretty cool I guess.
