Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge was published by Nintendo as well.

Its all about money and contracts. Its not as black and white as it was published by Nintendo so they must own all rights to the Bayonetta franchise. Its not like that.

MS published Mass Effect to for Bioware, then EA bought out Bioware and decided to whatever they wanted with the ME games. MS Im sure was not happy about that at all, but they obviously didnt own all the rights to the franchise.

Nintendo didnt buy out Platinum Games. Thats why they were just able to make MG Rising for the PS3 and 360. Nintendo may well have handed Platinum and sweet check and said, let us have your game for a year, or 6 months. Who knows.

Seeing how SEGA owns the Bayonetta IP and not Platinum, SEGA is in charge of how their IP is handled. It's no different than Nintendo publishing a Sonic game or a Final Fantasy game.

Sega didnt want another Bayonetta game made because the first didnt do as well as they'd have hoped. Plat games though didnt want it to die, so with Sega's permission went to Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo for funding to get the game made.
Both Sony and Microsoft turned them down, but Nintendo stumped up the cash to have the game made.

Platinum Games never approached anyone. Nintendo approached 3rd party companies for ailing projects and came across Bayonetta's fate and decided to back it.

Rayman Origins > Bayonetta.

I doubt that will change with the sequels.

personally, bayonetta was one of the most memorable titles this generation. I think Rayman would be forgettable even by contrast to Xbox Live Arcade/PSN game standards.
The franchise is getting tired. Sales of the last game speak for that

I thought you were leaving?

Why... so you can post that they "ran away"? Ugh.

What IS your obsession with the concept of departure? Abandonment issues from childhood? =(

But isn't Nintendo publishing the game?

Yes, they're funding the game. It will remain exclusive but the trolls like to believe it will be multiplat.

Microsoft funded and published Mass Effect 1, which is now on the PS3. So if anything, the trolls are being more realistic than you are.

Microsoft published the first Mass Effect. Which is now on the PS3.

And look how long it took for it to release on it. Bayonetta can go multi-plat in a couple of years.

No, Sega told Platinum to shop the game around. Platinum went to both Sony AND Microsoft, and both companies said they didn't want the game on their system.

Literally no one pointed out the obvious spelling error in the title?

Or is that just a creative way the Wii U board spells **** now?

Everything ends in double I?

"stii"

oh, and LMAO. A niche game with barely a cult following that jumped platforms is SUCH a big deal, right?

No Nintendo only fan cares about Bayonetta; hell, most PS360 owner's don't care about Bayonetta, obviously.

And no, the loud death threat people are not a good sample, no matter what darkjedilink would have you believe.
