^ That would be horrid. Why force developers into doing it, especially if they don't want to? That'd result in more cop-out achievements that aren't actually even achievements and take time away from doing things that actually matter. You don't need an achievement that activates to beat the final boss without taking a hit, you can still do it, people did runs like that before achievements were even thought of.
If God forbid, Nintendo do end up selling out and doing it I hope you can turn off the notification in the settings somewhere because that always took me out of the game.

Depending on the scenario, I could have just beaten a satisfying boss then all of a sudden its like "WOOOO, LOOK AT MEE", it might pop up at the beginning or end of a cinematic which distracts from that, its just distracting completely.
