It's going to be $60

Using placeholder prices as proof is really stupid, just saying.

This is a remake, not just a port like most HD collections.

Windwaker HD is not a remake, they aren't doing it from the ground up. It's a port with upgraded resolution, cleaned up graphics, and more screen effects. Just like the HD collections.

http://www.ign.com/wikis/the-legend-of-zelda-wind-waker/HD_Screenshot_Comparison

It's not worth $60.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/23/zelda-wind-waker-getting-wii-u-remake

http://kotaku.com/5978521/five-things-the-wind-waker-remake-needs-to-make-me-buy-it-all-over-again

And I'm sure I can find many more links calling it a remake. Because it is. New visual engine. Gameplay tweaks. This'll be like the Ocarina of Time 3D remake.

If you don't think that's worth 60 dollars, that's fine. But it's still a remake.

On the other systems you get hd collections that come with 3 games for $40 I would never buy this game if its $60 but it wouldn't surprise me if nintendo fans actually did

HAHAHAHAHAHA

that's cute. Of course it'll be 60 dollars. It's Nintendo we're talking about.

Remaking the exact same game from the ground up is completely idiotic.

This is very true, EXACTLY because it will need a 60 dollars price that no one wants.

Calling it now: The remake will not have any extra dungeons, extra items, extra whatever or ANYTHING new.
And will be priced at around 30 dollars or so.

they always add something new to the game when they do this.

After doing a bit more research on the matter it doesn't seem to be a remake just a slight graphical enchantment. I highly doubt it will have new content that will justify a $60 price tag. If you want to see what a true remake is look at Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes on the gamecube. Those are real remakes that justify a full price tag

dude, try harder
there is nothing to do "research" on because we don't have any info beyond what was said in the Nintendo direct

besides, even if you only saw the pictures and didn't read what the guy said in the broadcast, it's obvious that this isn't just a re-release because, well, the entire bloody visual style is different

the reason why the collections are $40 is because they are just PS2 ports upscaled to HD and they are not hard to make. If emulators can upscale the resolution to 720p or 1080p, then it shouldn't be difficult for developers.

Wind Waker HD on the other had is a complete remake. The graphics when comparing to the GC and Wii U version is like night and day. Plus the game is running on a different engine.

oh and about the price:
you'd have to be delusional to be expect this go for anything but full price
1. it's Nintendo. I bought Galaxy 2 2 years after its initial release and it's still going for full price
2. it's not a simple upscale port
3. it's the biggest Nintendo 1st party game to hit the WiiU since NSMBU
4. it's Nintendo

This is Nintendo, full price.

The Wii versions of pikmin 1 & 2 were only $20. The reason why Winder Waker would be more expensive is because they are actually redrawing most of it. I don't know if they are doing it for the whole game or just some of it.
