Nintendo is kind of like the Republican Party.

You forgot the part where the Democratic Party (Obama/Sony) screwed everything up and people wish the Republican Party would make a comeback.

Using TC's analogy. Except that only in Republican world and Fox News (Nintendo) is this true. I seem to remember that Obama just got re-elected pretty easily, and the Republican Party seems to be in disarray and fighting for it's identity (Wii U). The Republican party (Nintendo) will cease to exist, if they do not reinvent themselves and are future-focused as opposed to sticking to old traditions and ideas that are not longer relevant.

Unlike the Republican party, I feel Nintendo will succeed. The only reason the Republican party held on to as many seats as it did? Gerrymandering. Nintendo will work hard and win us back completely. They need to get with it though and publish more of their IPs in North America. Fatal Frame, more Xenoblade, another Pandora's Tower like game and some good third party titles and I will be happy.

Comparing Nintendo to the Republican Party is like comparing making love to getting a root canal.

I do see the parallels in your analogy, so good on ya...

The Republican establishment has lost their balls and are trying to be more and more moderate because they don't know what they're doing, so now they're really fighting the Tea Party, which is their only saving grace at this point.

So I see it as Iwata needs to step down and let the revolutionary younger folks take over and save Nintendo. Long live Breitbart.

Nintendo clearly isn't like either political party because they're awesome at making money. Even when things go badly they can still run a surplus.

But if you want to look at their policies, they're clearly the democrats because they're all about inclusiveness. They want to expand gaming so that everyone can enjoy it. On the other hand, the others are all about focusing on a very specific group of gamers who have been around since the beginning. Unfortunately, they're getting older and their numbers aren't really growing much anymore.

The Tea Party is the only positive in the GOP right now.

Lol. It's a bunch of extremists who want to ram austerity down everybody's throat because they're obsessed with the national debt for some reason. They're so extremist they wouldn't even elect Ronald Reagan if he were still alive, he would be way too liberlolz for them.
