Honestly if you think the PS4 is going to be a powerhouse compared to the Wii U

3.2 GHz Cell Broadband Engine with 1 PPE & 6 SPEs

So, the 1.6Ghz 8-core CPUs in the next Xbox and PS4 must only be a smidgen more powerful than their predecessors then. Doesn't sound like powerhouse material to me.

8 Cores >>>> 3 cores

And like I said, only a smidgen more powerful than its predecessors if he was going by the Megahertz myth, which he likely was when putting those 3 consoles together. If not, then the Wii U's CPU isn't really that bad as people make it out to be.

It will be. PS4 is going to be sever generations ahead of everything else on the market. This includes PS3 and PC.

gameplay>graphics

and both systems will have awesome games

its why you should buy all 3 systems this gen as well

I may do that depending on how MS and Sony handles used games and the price of their consoles.

If this article is anything to go by the WiiU and next Xbox will get destroyed by the ps4. It's been confirmed by multiple sources.

Nobody bringing up the clock speed frequency.

It's all about the cores and the architecture now a days, only you seem to be bringing it up.

Tri Core CPU in Xbox 360, Tri Core in Wii U, not a lot of improvement in the number of cores featured. According to what we know, the architecture of the processor is indeed outdated and doesn't feature any new instruction sets as the Wii had, it's basically 3 Wii processors duct taped together.

A powerhouse? No.

Stronger to a noticeable degree that will detract third party consumers from buying a Wii U version? Yes.

People need to realise that even if the PS4 is a bit more powerful, and the games only run 20% better people will buy that version. That magnifies greatly when you realise what we might be talking about in reality, with a noticeable gap in power, a similar price point for both hardware and software and mostly a noticeable gap in the performance of games, everyone is going to buy that, the best version available for consoles. Maybe to the point that third party lose interest all together.

So it's not about it being a powerhouse, it is about it being a more appealing platform to the masses. Which may happen.
