Do third party devs hate Nintendo? Or their fans?

I'm guessing Nintendo.

And that's all it is. A guess.

If anything, devs make it seem like developers do love nintendo (like Mikami and Suda), but their publishers do not

Like mentioned above, the publishers hate Nintendo. The fans are caught in the struggle. They look at Nintendo as a financial liability and as such will not let their developers put out games that they want to make. Look at how many developers were talking about how they loved what Nintendo does with their consoles, and they are excited to see what they can come up with. However, if their publisher says no, that's all there is to it.

The fans must rebel to overthrow their oppressors.

Neither, they want profits. Nintendo needs to pitch their console as profitable and the support will come. Silly schoolboy grudges have no place in business decisions.

They don't hate Nintendo, Nintendo consoles have just not proven worth developing for in the past.

For the N64, producing cartridges was much more expensive than using CDs, so a lot of developers turned Nintendo down.

For the GC, the lack of pretty much any notable features aside from more power than the N64, led to a smaller install base. 3rd parties saw that, and saw less of a reason to make multiplatform games available for the GC. On top of that, the GC's mini-discs couldn't hold too much information, so productions costs were higher to produce two CDs for a single game. However, out of the last 4 consoles, the GC has done the best with 3rd parties

For the Wii, adapting games to the motion control took extra time, and added extra costs to game development. On top of that the Wii was not capable of handling HD graphics, so developers couldn't put their HD games on the Wii.

So now with a new console, developers are extremely weary of the Wii U, because Nintendo hasn't been worth developing for in the past 3 generations. That means they will jump ship much more quickly.

Not changing this sig until we get a new main series Tales game released on a Nintendo console in the US

I wouldn't say 'hate.' But nintendo has always been notorious for not having a good relationship w/ 3rd party publishers. Which is expected, why would nintendo assume they would be running to develop for them is beyond me.

The fans, definitely. They are the ones not buying the 3rd party games on Nintendo consoles. So all the fans mad at the devs are just denying the fact they caused the games to be cancelled or not considered for Wii U.

Well, to be fair, a lot of the 3rd party games that come out are watered down ports or are shovelware. For every game like No More Heroes, you get five of the crappy Wii CoD ports. It's hard to blame the gamers when the quality of the 3rd party titles leave something to be desired
