Back of game case doesn't list resolution?

Consoles game cases never list native resolutions. In all situations it only lists output formats. Since the Wii U scales games to whatever you have it set to, there wouldn't be a point to listing anything on the game boxes (since it would just be like the Xbox 360 where every title lists 720p/1080i/1080p on the back). Unfortunately most publishers don't even bother divulging what native resolutions the games run at, unless it's 1080p native of course (which ironically isn't even native 1080p in many situations).

That's not true, my PS3 games tell me what resolution they are capable of. For instance, my Sonic racing and Infamous cases say up to 720, while my assassin's creed 3 says 1080.

That's his point. Assassin's Creed 3 doesn't run at 1080p.

You sure about that? I am pretty sure my TV says its in 1080 when I play it. Of course when I switch to 3D mode it gets cut in half :P

It's only being upscaled to 1080p. The actual game it self is not running at 1080p. There's a massive difference. Very, very few console titles run at 1080p. In fact, a good amount of them don't even run at 720p natively. Halo and CoD for instance.

I love it when fanboys get so angry that they type really fast and this happens. It's hilarious. Here's a dollar because you make no sense.

News - EA does not like the Wii U. Fanboy - good they are horrible anyway.

He said "capable of", not "runs at". Glad to see the education system teaches such poor reading comprehension these days. If some of you actually understood what you read, these boards would have so many less idiotic posts.

Halo 4 run in native 720p, while Reach runs at 1152x720, which I don't even how that could even add to performance.

But yeah, games like Alan Wake and CoD run sub-HD.
