That bullcrap is the reason I've never bought anything from Apple.

ipads get upgrades every 4 months since last year.

iPad 2: March 2, 2011
iPad 3: March 7, 2012
iPad 4: October 23, 2012

Where are you getting every 4 months from?

you seem to have forgotten the ipad mini, not to mention ANOTHER ipad this month, which now makes it 4 months since the ipad 4. i expect another will probably come around summer.

The iPad mini was released simultaneously with the iPad 4, so there would be no change to the dates I posted. It's also not an "upgrade", it's essentially a smaller version of the iPad 2. And why don't you post the announcement that a new iPad will be released this month, since you seem to be basing that claim on nothing.

Who the heck wants to buy a new console every year just to have fresh specs? That's a terrible idea. If someone wants a machine to play games on based on a PC hardware cycle model, then there's already a machine for them. It's called.....a PC.

That would further alienate their customers. Creating fewer sales. Nintendo would have no way of balancing the price of the hardware and matching the speed of release.

Apple upgrade its iPod, iPads and iPhone every year, but keeps the OS and architecture the basically same to keep compatibility. ie iphone 3gs, 4, 4S , 5, iPod 2nd to 5th generation. iPads get upgrades every year, also.

Nintendo should have the WiiU Pro spec, upgrade to all 2GB DDR5 memory, ad blu ray play back and 7.1 sound output. overclock the same GPU by adding 256-bit DDR5 memory. The WiiU 4000/5000 series GPU could be push to 800 MHz plus (additional cooling is required).. all this for a mere $50.00 to $70.00 cost.

early adopters will whine, but us PC gamers has doing this for a while. You can play Battlefield 3 on radeon 4870 or 7870. its the same game, but with better performance on the 7870, but you get what you pay for.

Apple should try harder to get it right the first time.

An otherwise identical platform with more storage space for a higher price makes it a hardware upgrade? By that logic the Wii U LAUNCHED with an upgraded model. In fact, they just announced a new Wii U barely over 3 months after the console first came out, so Nintendo's upgrade cycle is even faster than Apple's!
