The Dreamcast wasn't the flop to end all flops though. It sold quite well.

If you're looking for a more ample failure, try the 32X or the Jaguar.

And I sincerely doubt the PS4 will drum up as much hype as the PS2 did. What could it possibly do?

Other ample failures would include N64 and GC; just saying.

GC was definitely a failure, but at least it sold exponentially more than the 32X.

And it had good games. The 32X had nothing worth playing.

My sig will never happen, but it would be awesome if it did.

32X actually did have games worth playing:

- Doom
- Star Wars Arcade
- Virtua Fighter
- Virtua Racing Deluxe
- Knuckles Chaotix
- Kolibri
- Tempo
- After Burner Complete
- Space Harrier
- Blackthorne

The problem was that it should never have existed. They ended up saturating the market with too many add-ons (Sega CD and 32X) instead of focusing all time and money on their true next gen console, the Saturn, like they should have. It was one of Sega's major f*** up's.

GameCube was actually profitable in the end. Not a success, but not fail tier like every Sega console/add-on after the genesis.

If it gets two Shenmue games I'd be happy to let the Wii U die prematurely.

Strong initial sales tapering off very quickly

-dreamcast actually sold?

EA has a bug up their ass

-meh

Screen on the controller

-a crappy tamagotchi screen that was 100% optional, but whatever

No DVD playback

-neither did the ps1 or saturn

no 3-D GTA

-gta3 was released after the dreamcast had already died, so big surprise there.

Sony announcing their upcoming system...........

-because sony is oh-so popular right now.

I would disagree in that Dreamcast had lots of great games to play and Wii U has...well....

Dreamcast died because anyone with a cd burner could copy their games.
