Has anybody heard of CRYAMORE!? If not: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/robaato/cryamore-a-true-first-class-take-on-the-action-rpg?ref=live

Another Kickstarter RPG set for release on PC, Mac, Linux, Steam, iOS, Android, Ouya, and could be coming to home consoles if it reaches $225,000. It's currently at $151k with 11 days left. The influences for its design come from Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Secret of Mana/Legend of Mana, Megaman, and Brave Fencer Musashi and the Team working on it is pretty solid too.

While most of the kickstarter games are crappy looking, Cryamore included, the triple-A titles are just coming out. Have you seen the new Wasteland 2 17-minute video? That game looks amazing. Project Eternity, Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Online all look great, and they are getting made because of Kickstarter.

Hope it reaches the consoles, otherwise meh

Cryamore?!
Sounds like what the Nintendo fanbase does when their console is lacking in the third party department.

Jokes aside.

I'm all for it, I probably won't buy it because, well, ew, indie games, but it's good for the people that do want it.

You know, the phrase "it's on like Konkey Donk", just doesn't have that same ring to it.

Actually I hate the idea, I think the less RPGs the U gets, the better it will be for it. RPGs have only ever held consoles back. No RPG has ever been innovative with the lone exception of Ultima. However there seems to be lot of people that do like RPGs, so I'm not going to deny them that. There is also that slight chance that it might actually be good.

I know I usually hate on RPGs, but through sheer irony, I recently tried TWEWY, and found myself liking it. Not the story, no, god no, the story is trash. But the gameplay is solid. I'm thinking we need more RPGs with a combat system similar to it.

Also, the whole Nintendo fanbase part was a joke. I'm pretty steamed we don't get much third party support, but in all actuality, that's why anyone bought a PS3 or a 360.

Dumb title... sounds like they're making fun of JRPG fans (Cryamore... cry more...).

But the art-style is nice. If the game features the same kind of VA in the game, then that's nice as well. Animation also looks very nice. And they gathered some good guys to help bring the project to life. Now if they just get the combat right and the right amount of content, then it'll be a great game. Otherwise it would be decent at best.

Looks interesting. I backed it - first time ever doing so. I actually love the idea behind Kickstarter. Don't understand the hate here. It gives smaller teams a chance to create something they are passionate about. The people backing it know the risk involved

From just this one experience, after reading the updates the dev team sent out and the forum posts on their page, it gives a nice sense of community.

Also - ew, indie games? There are some great ones out there
