So apparantly the Wii U sold bad in January, huh?

Then how come the PS3 didn't even sell this badly in its first January? The only PS3 game released that month was Sonic the hedgehog. add to that, the stupidly high $599 price tag and yet somehow it sold so much more then the Wii U has in its first January.

Because there had been shortages of PS3s in 2006 and thus people who would have bought it at launch had to wait. Even though it sold like 250k in January its lifetime numbers to that point were much less than Wii U's, seemingly under 1 mil while Wii U is over 3 mil.

Isn't the 3 million shipped units, not sold?

Yes, because they ship to random retailers that don't pay for merchandise.

I never said they did. But obviously 3 million units being sold to retailers is not the same as 3 million being sold to consumers.

TBH, PS3 didn't sell as badly in January 2007 because it wasn't being sold as a game machine.

Yes, and if resellers aren't selling them then that affects the amount that they will buy from Nintendo in the future.

Except that PS3's first month was terrible due to that shortage. They basically just took those sales and shifted them to the next months.
