The ability to play it on gamepad while the tv itself is not involved is a great giant plus for me. I have three kids (young ones at that) so often they whine and groan and complain that daddy's playing another one of his stupid games again. The ability to just lounge and play on my couch and let them watch spongebob or something works great for me.

I've played the ME series long enough to know when something "racey" might happen, but as for the cursing and violence, eh I don't care. They know the violence is fake (we don't exactly have space armored humans, nor asari, quarians or krogan running around the place ya know) and as far as language goes, who cares? As long as they don't do drugs, join gangs, become mass murderers, why should I care if they drop some f-bombs?

Your children have a bright future.

Parents like you are also the reason why my daughter is private schooled.

lol at least mine won't grow up in a protective bubble away from scary real world things like fake violence and cursing. The less surprises my kids have in the real world, the better.

The fact that you have no concept of the impact such over the top violence can have on a developing mind is frightening.

lol what effect? I've taught them and discussed with them that what is seen in a video game is no more real than what they see on Spongebob or Transformers (which they still don't buy the whole concept of fires and swimming pools underwater that the show shows!). Pro-Parent Tip, actually TALK with your kids, huh? You'd be surprised at how receptive they can be when you actually talk to them.

Hey man, its better they learn from their dad who can explain things and help them understand these concepts, than from strangers all over the place. Let's not bring judging people's parenting onto GameFAQs.
