I really wish the Wii U browser had flash support.

I use this site for anime, After you pick the anime you want to watch, look under the video for links, if you select the links labeled 4up they play fine on Wii U.

I know there's a lot that had 4up especially newer stuff, not to sure if they've gotten around to older stuff.

*ahem* but doesn't the PS3 support flash? I remember being able to stream from sites on it that I can't on Wii U.

Yes, many devices other than PCs support Flash since Adobe's previous strategy was to port it to whatever they could, hence versions of it being on the PS3, the Wii, the PSP, Android, and so on.

However they've since killed development of Flash on anything that isn't a PC stone dead.

Hopefully we can get an update.

Nope. Look at all the devices released recently: no Flash. 3DS, Vita, Wii U, none have Flash. Even the version of Flash that was available for Android was removed from the Play Store. Don't waste your time hoping for Flash on Wii U - it's a non-starter.

Flash isn't supported on new consoles. Onto HTML5

Yeah, I really wish websites in general stopped having flash support and we could all move on to HTML5. I'm sick of Adobe's constant updates and constant attempts to take over my machine by trying to change the install update option to "install automatically" and by trying to install McAfee every time.

Exactly. 7 years! Is that how long it's going to take for all websites to update? That's ridiculous. It that were the case then adobe should have continued to put flash on devices until html5 took over.

Since adobe is stupid and is killing flash, html5 is going to start popping up everywhere. A huge portion of internet browsing is done on smartphones and tablets which adobe refuses to support, cause they don't like money I guess. You're already seeing lots of sites transitioning now and the sooner the better cause flash is terrible.

Just find sites using HTML5, there are plenty.

And flash was supported on both Wii and PS3, but it is being phased out on anything but PCs because Adobe constantly updates it without supporting previous formats making any old versions of flash incapable of working.

Adobe isn't stupid. They're abandoning Flash because they know it's being replaced by html5. That's why they have html5 development tools now. Because they like money.
