Wii U

If I move my Monster Hunter Tri file over do I get a new ID and lose my friend list? That happens if you move your file to another Wii, and I don't want to have to re-add all my friends.

Wii -> Wii U transfers actually transfer (copy to new, delete from original) all information --- including friend codes.

They don't specifically say friend code, but wifi connection ID and connection data --- which I'm guessing includes friend code as:
1) My Brawl info seems to be intact
2) "connection data" shouldn't mean just router info, since that is needed to initiate the transfer in the first place
