Is it a bad thing if a loud noises are coming out of my Wii U?

I just set it up and everything and now it's making these loud buzzing noises.
Should I take it back?

Probably just means your Wii U is "On". I had this problem too. You should be able to switch the Wii U "Off" and that should take care of the noise problem.

It depends. Does it sound like the fan or the disc drive? Some games are noisier than others. I can barely hear my Wii U when playing Nintendo Land, but it is very loud and distracting when I play ZombiU. If you can't figure out what it is, take it back, because it isn't noisy all of the time.

And no. No discs. I'll see what happens if I put NSMBU in.


All right dudes. I put NSMBU in and it's about the same. I guess it's the fan. I'll take it back and get a new one.
