$300/$350 is far too high of a price for a console primarily for Nintendo games

And a console that is a small step above what the PS3/360 can do. Nintendo consoles are widely accepted as secondary consoles due to their lack of third party support. Xox is mainly about third party, PlayStation is about exclusives and third party. Nintendo fans know that they buy Nintendo hardware for Nintendo games, but this time the asking price is higher than ever It simply is not worth it when Nintendo hardly creates new IPs anymore. Paying for a brand new game hardware to play the nth Mario, the next Zelda, and the latest Smash Bros in HD with a screen on the controller just isnt a compelling buy.

Nintendo needs to lower the price and take into consideration how weak Nintendo's library of games is compared to PlayStation and Xbox with their lack of third party support

Sony's 1st party games never did well and were never the reason to buy a ps.

PS4 and 720 have no games right now, so Wii U has a strong lineup in comparison.....oh wait, you're talking about comparing the Wii U's 3 month lineup to last-gen's 7+ years of games to make a point that it is weak.........

It'll take two companies losing money on their launch to put out Nintendo, which is making profit. Sad, but true. Nintendo is a gaming company only after all. The price is just right.

This account will cease to exist once Nintendo goes out of business because of the Wii U.

This is a console worth buying only after a few years have passed, really...
Not enough must-buy titles, the promises for good games are on the air but it's just that : promises, like... good intentions, or good ideas that are not really there as consumed projects.

It's usually like this with new gaming hardware but Nintendo went TOO FAR this time; many possible buyers already have a Wii and at least another console (ps3/360) so all our gaming needs are more than covered and there are many AWESOME titles coming soon for the competition so Nintendo should have thought about all this when putting the restrictive price tag on the Wii U.

I think they will have to come up with something BIG! and do this fast to prevent their Wii U ship from sinking and among the things they will be forced to do an attractive discount should be in first place.

The Wii series isn't a new IP? What about Xenoblade?

Also, I don't know where you got this idea that Nintendo consoles have always been secondary consoles. Maybe the Wii was for a lot of hardcore gamers, but the GC had plenty of 3rd Party support, and the N64 has tons of nostalgia backing it. And I don't think I have to explain the SNES or NES.

Not changing this sig until we get a new main series Tales game released on a Nintendo console in the US
