So.... it turns out that the controller that everyone made fun of is amazing

I am going to buy a Wii u in march just for monster hunter. I think that being able to use iinventory on the screen will be wonderful. Thank you for a positive post. So sick of the "I sold my Wii u" troll topics.

I haven't played the single-player yet, but I had a blast playing the multiplayer on the Pro Controller while my girlfriend used the tablet to bombard me with zombies.

Amazing? your standards must be really that low then, doesn't change every other else opinion about it.

Fail, on and off these boards.

They clearly are, but the potential for abuse is also greater, and that put many people off them. It's much harder to misuse the tablet controller.

That being said, I think the Wiimote still has a lot of potential so I hope they don't abandon it. Metroid Blast (in Nintendo Land), for example, is clearly more fun with the Wiimote / Nunchuk than with the gamepad.

In retrospect, I don't think the Wii-mote did much to revolutionize gaming. None of my favorite games from the last 5 years utilized motion controls, or they were not a central part of the experience. Even my favorite Wii games were one that used motion controls sparingly. I think the Wii U definitely has an opportunity to make a better contribution to gaming than the Wii did.

^.^ I liked the Wii-mote, but I didn't like how it was the only controller. Not all games work with that controller. I was a bit skeptical about it, too. However, the Wii-U controller I got about a million and one ideas of games that I would love to make if I could program, that is. o.o Plus, it really is fun, easy to use and easy on the hands. Nintendo is really innovative with their controllers since the Nes days. I guess D-Pads were the gimmick back then, since other systems used analog sticks and those were buggy.

Thanks to my dislike of Final Fantasy XIII, I looked back on ALL Final Fantasy games and now which one I like for what reason. Angry blame XIII.

Where did he say he was going to change other peoples' opinions? You must have ridiculously high standards then. See how easy one can turn it around? Name me off some stuff that YOU think is "amazing" so I can ridicule it.

Quick. defend the TC harder for no reason

Defending Nintendo. Not TC. There's a difference.

Agree on the controller, but not ZombiU.
