Can I call Nintendo and get my games back? I'm freaking out I lost 8 VC games and MM9.

uhm... so you were doing the transfer and in between the transfer the data got wiped? So it's no longer on the Wii and obviously not on the Wii U?

800-255-3700 is the only option for ya.

And technically they 'can' do license transfers but it's really hit or miss with who you get. Ultimately they'll have to hand you over to their Admin team to see what they can do.

Put the SD Card in the Wii U to complete the transfer.

And yet people still defend Nintendo's lack of a proper account system.
Good luck OP

No one has defended their lack of a proper account system. However, Nintendo Network is supposed to tie your online purchases across all current Nintendo platforms to a single account. I know its not active yet, so Nintendo can get all the flak they deserve until its active, but don't pretend for a second anyone actually defended their lack of such a system. People giving them a hard time about it is exactly why they needed to come up with Nintendo Network to begin with.

They're coming to the internet game alittle less prepared (and much later) than their competition, but the progress they've made in the last few years is pretty impressive considering their online sector was almost non-existent a few years ago.
