It's going to be hard to top Super Mario Galaxy. What can this new 3D Mario do?

Any ideas on how to elevate 3D platforming even further? What are some ways Nintendo can utilize the gamepad in interesting ways?

I once worked with a guy for three years and never learned his name. Best friend I ever had. We still never talk sometimes.

Well the most obvious way would be to go back to the more exploration-based gameplay of Mario 64, that avoids the direct comparison. Alternatively they can try to build upon 3D Land.

I am sure they can improve on galaxy. When I played Super Mario 64 I never had a more fun experience at the time and I heard galaxy was great,so I have faith it can improve.

Yoshi's Island U in 3D with two player option:
- The Wii U pad user will control Yoshi in the pad's screen as the main platforming.
- The second player will use the Wii-remote to shoot around in all axis.
- Switch the controller roles, and the Controller-Pro user maneuvers Yoshi on the big screen, while the Wii U pad player uses the touch-enabled screen for aiming and shooting.
- For single player, you do the shooting and platforming at the same time.

If we're talking of local multiplayer, that is.

This account will cease to exist once Nintendo goes out of business because of the Wii U.

Only if they allowed both players to tackle completely different objectives and not be essentially tethered to each other. Like an example from Mario 64;'s Bob-omb Battlefield... one player could run to the top and fight the King while the other could hunt down the red coins on the GamePad. Would be the best way to play the game IMO
