they CAN update it to do the same things. Nintendo already shown a willingness to improve Miiverse.

Nintendo always does a horrible job with their UI, imo. It's always so basic and harder to navigate than it should be (eShop)

That social network can be done in the Wii U, Nintendo not wanted to, they wanted to create something original, not just link to facebook and twiter...
