Processing power? Heck yeah, it's faster.
Graphical power, what everyone was boasting about?

Judging by Knack, not really.
Basically, it's an iPhone 4S to 5.
It's faster, and bigger.
And that's about it.

Stop trying to justify the PS4 on a WiiU board.

The only people who'd try pretend that the WiiU is stronger are fanboys. You won't change their minds.

Wii U has DDR3, not GDDR3. TC's attack is invalid.

That hardly makes a difference, GDDR5 is on a completely different level than anything else on the market. The fact still stands as is.

GDDR5 has higher bandwidth. DDR3 has lower latency. GDDR5 is like having a high download speed while at the same time having a high ping. It'll benefit from the operations that deal with large sequential pieces of data, but if it has to jump around all over the place for the little pieces of data in RAM, it loses its edge. That's why it is GDDR 5, because it is better suited for GPU operations, not CPU operations.

You're making yourself look foolish trying to put the spin on Wii-U specs in any conceivable way. The PS4 is comparable to top tier gaming rigs. Please only focus on unique features like offscreen play.. Oh

What he's trying to say is, if anyone on these boards has any computer knowledge at all, that the Wii U actually uses the DDR3 memory as a strength, not a weakness. Put GDDR5 memory in the Wii U? It will actually bottleneck the system. You would think otherwise, but in the Wii U's case? WEll, that's not the case. That's how Nintendo builds their consoles.

With the large amounts the eDRAM, the Wii U WANTS lower latency with their memory, as that's how this piece of hardware was designed.

People here think that just throwing the best available/fastest hardware pieces out there = the best console! That's how you create bottlenecks. The lightly modified powerPC CL CPU (the closest guess anyone can come up with presently) it has fit perfectly as well. On it's own? It's nothing special. With the slight modifications to the system, though...it's a system that seemingly has no bottlenecks. It may not be as powerful? But it's a well built piece of hardware, and only techies like myself can appreciate it.

Not only that, but this thing can get to point A to point B much more efficiently/quicker than any console that's been released to date. That's why horsepower for the Wii U isn't something we should be judging it on, but rather it's feature sets. Are they comparable?

In the end? The games do the talking.

Wii U has Bayonetta 2, mario, zelda, and pokemon. Sony has killzone, infamous, drive club, and a brand new ip.

Who wins?

Nintendo.
They can use their IPs. more flexibly than Sony to create new IPs.
You can toss Mario, Kirby, or Donkey Kong into almost anything, and it'll work because they made the characters to do many things.
And generally, Nintendo creates one new IP per generation, and ressurect even more.
Whether or not they'll use them often is the question.

As the Sony fanboys are the ones claiming that PS4 will render Wii U totally irrelevant, it seems like the burden of proof is upon them to provide this game.

Cause right now, the best looking gameplay we've seen is Watch Dogs and Wii U is also getting that.

I don't know why it matters. Buy the console you want to play the games you want and don't worry about it. So much energy wasted on warring over such petty stuff is not my thing.

Guarantee if the wiiu was better than the ps4 people would have no issues talking about it here. Now that reality has rendered their damage control useless let's stop talking about it.... sure

We can't, because we don't have games that put the Wii U to its full use.
However, you can't because the PS4 doesn't even have any released games.
So, really, you shouldn't be trying to promote the PS4 just yet until we see some good games.

Does the ps4 have any exculsive's that give a damn? No? Didn't think so.

has nintendo?
nope so your point being?
hell it hasn't even got games to release on the wii u hence why most peoples wii u collecting dust.

I'm not even opposed to what TC is saying. Of course the PS4 is more powerful than the Wii U. That isn't even in question. But really, the way I look at it, Sony is still selling a low-end gaming PC with 8GB of RAM split between the CPU and a GPU with no dedicated memory.
