Darklink9009Posted 2/21/2013 3:29:20 PM | I think this is all so stupid. First. The console isn't even out yet. How can a console that has not even be released yet be better then a console that is? Second. It does NOT matter what the specs of the system is if they do not make good games for it. You can pour in a lot of good graphics but they do not mean anything if the gameplay is good. And Third. After seeing all of the PS4 videos out there. I have to say that I am not impressed. All of you might be but... They are trying a little too hard on making everything look pretty. |

How about we stop talking about the ps4 ON THE WII U Board?
^^^^ x100000 thank you. I like the Playstation AND Nintendo....I know, I'm a criminal! You and me both. We're misfits! lol What's amusing are the people here who claim they don't care about hardware power, but the moment someone says ps4 is more powerful, they're in denial of that fact and get defensive. To all those folks; Why not just call a spade a spade? So what if its more powerful? it will never play the Wii U exclusives, so don't sweat the fact that ps4 has more muscle. If stuff like that really doesn't matter, then prove it in your behavior. If it does matter, than admit to it. --- NinNetID: ElectricMole, PSN: kronekodow7188 |

squidgy617Posted 2/21/2013 3:42:58 PM | Guys, guys, guys.
PS4s don't play Zelda.
But in all seriousness, Nintendo's hardware is behind, yeah, but that doesn't mean they're not some of the best video game developers out there. Thats why I've always loved Nintendo. I could care less about the hardware, Nintendo has always been a game developer to me. I don't like them because they make consoles.
Regardless, Nintendo was behind graphically last gen as well, and that didn't mean they failed. The Wii did pretty good. |

They are on completely different levels in every possible way.
I love me some Nintendo just as much as the next guy but saying the Wii-U is even remotely comparable to the PS4 is delusional. Tech-wise, the differences are comparable to the distance between Wii and PS3.
For instance, lets look at RAM.
The Wii-U has 2GB of GDDR3 RAM.
The PS4 has 8GB of GDDR5 RAM
1GB of GDDR5 can equal and at time out perform the performance of 2GB of GDDR3 because it is MUCH faster at processing information. The infrastructure of GDDR5 also uses less energy than its GDDR3 counterpart.
This means that not only does the PS4 have 4 times the RAM, it has Much higher quality of RAM as well.
(For reference, If you wanted to get 8GB of GDDR5 RAM on your PC right now, be prepared to spend $3000...Even though such RAM isnt commercially available in such quantities yet.)
The RAM alone dwarfs anything the Wii-U can do and thats without taking into consideration the CPU and GPU.
(Each system uses approx. 1 GB RAM for it's Operating System)
WII-U will not be a Next Gen Multiplatform system, much like the Wii before it. Nintendo will again have to rely on Mario and the first True-HD Zelda title to power it's console after the PS4/720 release. Luckily they have that luxury.
I would be more than happy to buy a Wii-U just for Zelda games, EXTREMELY happy to in fact.
But would you please, for the love of all that is good for you...Stop saying the WIi-U can keep pace power-wise with the PS4, you sound foolish. yea. u got it right. but i find it funny that this delusional drones even think wii u is in the same league as ps4.. wii ubelong to ps3 and 360 group.. end of story. even the developers acknowledge this --- Drones Topic Derailing guidelines ..(rofl) 1) insult nick name 2) insult user level 3) Insult English and grammar |

The PC master race lulz at Sony's low-end garbage console.
Find me one high end PC that has 8GB of raw GDDR5 ram and I will kiss the innards of your ass. Again, stop talking. GDDR is the go-to memory for VIDEO PROCESSING. Go look at any modern video card, BAM - GDDR5. Doesn't matter anyway, you want to look at various clock speeds, CUDA cores, etc - not the total amount of GDDR5 you have. --- The green ones make me horny!-Tardy, Greg the Bunny |
