The Wii U hardware is more than capable of playing great looking next gen games. I was just looking at this picture on Reddit:

The leap from last gen to this "next" gen is not going to be very noticeable and the Wii U is already capable of producing graphics better than 360 and ps3.

So that aside, the real issue here is the lack of games! And there is a lack of games because the system has only been out for 3 months. Sure the launch was weak and there was no real killer title that sold the system, but by this time next year or even this holiday season, the Wii U should be loaded with some great games so stop worrying.

No one aside from the trolls refute that the console only needs game. Forget about the damn hardware!

We know the system is lacking games right now but thanks for telling us again. Just what the gamefaqs boards needed was another intelligent topic from a valued member of the community. Thank you!

Its lacking third party support bc devs dont want to downscale games they are creating on PS4/720 to port it over to Wii U.

Or they want to actually finish the games and release them for all consoles at the same time.

No. They announce games on next gen systems but neglect to announce them on Wii U.
