That's a good price, 2005 a 1080P TV ran more than that and in a few years you could get one for a few grand.

So in about 3-4 years the price of those should be within affordable range for the average consumer.

4k isnt going to catch on for another 5 years. we'll be onto the next generation of systems by then or the tail end of this new one.
