And seriously, it isn't contradicting. The in the air scene is just cinematics, sure, it's stupid, but it doesn't really change anything significant. It's just nitpicking even if he continues to do it. As for the relation with the metroid, I already stated my opinion earlier on that.

I guess people really wanted to argue about this game for some reason. Seriously though, nothing ever comes out of these topics. Both sides always lose, nothing is resolved, and Nintendo certainly doesn't hear your cries. Not sure why people can't just move on.

I agree, that's probably my biggest issue with all of this. The haters hate way too damn much. I mean I tried to read that article they keep on linking but I couldn't myself through it. It's just a guy stating it's bad writing over and over again which is a fact. No arguing there. That leaves the details, but the haters care way too much about these details that in the grand scheme, aren't that important. It's just unnecessary to continue on hating on it. Nothing new has been said in a while and there is no need in repeating it. Add in that part of these angles are definitely up to the individual interpretation and you get an endless war between two people who already have their opinion set and justified.

So just stop caring. A new metroid will be on its way soon enough and will at least not be an exploration of Samus' character since that was done here. Bad writing could still be abound though >_>

Well I have a solution for everyone then: stop responding to pandaman's Other M arguments. Or anyone's Other M rants for that matter. Take the high road, don't beat a dead horse, move on with life.

If you seriously feel something needs to be done about Other M, write a review, fanfic, or fan game or something. Use the feeling as motivation to do something constructive.

It does change things in a significant manner - the entire ending of Super Metroid is rewritten in a lame attempt to force the idea that Samus had some sort of emotional bond with a Metroid she freely gave up as an infant (which she captured instead of killed solely for scientific research).
