It really sucks that Wii U games like X and the next Zelda wont be 1080p native

Poor graphics whores, cry moar.

Wii U > PS360
"graphics matter" -nintendo fanboy

PS4 > Wii U
"graphics don't matter" -nintendo fanboy

To be fair, you're argument could replace nintendo fan with any other type of fan and have the same impact.

Another irrelevant topic.

Another TC who thinks hardware is the problem and not the developers.

Better hardware does not mean better engine performance and never will on consoles. The developers, their lack of effort and the publishers deadline are the reasons the engines performed so poorly last gen. On top of that, the gamers willingness to pay for unfinished games and pay for patches labeled DLC gives the developers a reason not to really care if there game is running at 30 instead of 60. There is no reason for the games on next gen consoles not to be running at 120 FPS and looking three to four times as good as the best game out right now, but they will run at 30 FPS and the resolutions will be upscaled because they arent going to put the effort, money and dont have the time to make a good game.

They want money now, not later. Also, its not like the specs of the PS4 are impressive. For a console, maybe, but thats only in the sense that its currently the best console. Overall, really, the PS4 specs are trash. However, its the only thing available so its the "best" and people are going to praise it.

People should be praising the game engines, not the hardware.

"Could", but here we are in the Nintendo forums and they're the ones saying it here.

I don't think anyone said the Wii U is better than the PS360 because of graphics.

Someone's forgotten about streaming a completely different image to the second screen at the same time.

720p (TV) + 480p (Pad) = 1200p

1) We don't know if those games will be in 1080p or not.

2) It doesn't mater. I'd rather see the resources put into texture detail and such.

3) We don't know if most PS4 gamed will be native 1080p or not.

The context of my post makes it obvious I mean the board as a whole, not just the topic. But it is a topic about graphics, and thus a justifiable contribution.

I'm pretty sure the WiiU can do 1080p with no major troubles. Doesn't Black Ops 2 run at 1080p? With few framerate hiccups?

I'm also pretty damn sure the Zelda WiiU tech demo was NOT pre-rendered. You could move the camera and change the lighting AT WILL. Can't do that with pre-rendered footage.
