What's the worse metroid game?

I say Metroid. Zero mission (A remake/reimagining of Metroid) pretty much makes that game obsolete, and not worth playing other than to see how metroid started as a series. Other M was ok, but I can see why people would be angry if they bought that game for full price.

Other M.

Still not that bad of a game though.

The original is a classic, but hasn't aged incredibly well. Meanwhile, I think Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, and Metroid Prime 2 are among the best games ever made.

The Game Boy Advance games are excellent.

Metroid Prime 3 is pretty good, but is a step below the games I've mentioned.

Other M is a decent game with a terrible story if you take it out of context with the series. As a Metroid game, though, it is an abomination.

I never played Metroid 2.

I think I'd probably have to say Hunters for DS. Other M isn't that good either but I found the single player mode in Hunters to be pretty bad. For Metroid 2 I'd say the biggest problem is the lack of bosses and to an extent the linearish map. It kind of paved the way for a lot of the things that made Super Metroid great.

Original, then Prime 2.

Metroid Prime. Too tedious with the collecting and backtracking, especially towards the end.

Metroid II and Metroid Prime Hunters.

Definitely Other M. Aside from that, everyone that's saying Metroid 1 and 2 haven't aged well are correct, though I actually played through Metroid a while back. It's just not great. Hunters is hit or miss for most it seems. I haven't played it, but apparently there are a few aspects in it that are really good and many other aspects that totally suck.

Really the games you should stick to are Super Metroid, Fusion, Zero Mission, and the Prime trilogy.
