You know, Nintendo hardware really holds its software back.

The games won't play that much differently with increased resolution and processing power.

Mario's going to jump on Goombas. How defined does the little "100" that pops up need to be?

Who said anything about graphics?

I'm talking about gameplay. For example, name a Nintendo game with decent online....oh wait.

One of the reasons why Nintendo make great games is because they know exactly how to get the best out of the hardware. Why? Because they made the damn thing. If they worked with 3rd party hardware I doubt their games would be half as perfected. Hyperbole, maybe, but the point still stands.

Agreed, imagine if Nintendo had cutting edge hardware like they used to.

Console power/graphics are components of hardware.

Also, Mario Kart Wii.

Nintendo's best games don't require online to play, and if you can't make a great game with the tools available for the Wii U (or even the Wii, for that matter), you are a terrible developer and game designer.

I'm glad I opened this topic, because now I have a clear cut winner for stupidest thread of the day.

Topic makes no sense.
Wii U is currently the most powerful console available.

Yes, sure you can say that the PS4 will beat it in specs - but NEWSFLASH! - the PS4 isn't out yet.

And there's a problem with the "a console that isn't out yet will beat it" argument.... because why buy a PS4 when the Wii U 2 will make it underpowered?

We should have already seen an Fzero or Star Fox in HD with online multiplayer by now >_>
