Important fact why Metroid Prime 4 MAY be Retro's game at E3 2013

I've recently watched Machinima's 'All Your History Are Belong To Us' series about Metroid, and it gave off a hint why Retro never showed their game for E3 last year. It was said that Retro released Metroid Prime 2 and 3 around the same time Halo 2 and 3 were released, and apparently, people chose Halo over Metroid. This affected Retro because they didn't sell well, nor was it noticed by many people, so they sited. They gave Metroid the myth referenced as 'The Cursed Video Game' because it supposedly did not sell at good rates. So, in my opinion, in order for Retro to not repeat their past mistakes, they postponed the sneak peek of their next video game until this year. I advise you to watch Metroid's All Your History Are Belong To Us to understand what i mean. Think about it, If Metroid 4 was to be launched along with the Wii U during November, it would have been released along with Halo 4 during the same month, thus repeating the same mistakes with their previous prequels. Give me your opinion on this, i want to see if anyone else would agree with me.

please stop retro
i've really grown to dislike the linear fps retro molded metroid into.

at least OM was different.

it completely degraded after prime 1.

I pray it's Prime! Metroid Prime is one of my favorite games of all time. I just hope they pull an Apple style announcement and show it at E3, and then say its coming out in September. That would be amazing and it would get over shadowed by the other systems launching in november

Eh for me Prime has run its course.

Still hoping for a new IP with western appeal.

I'm still hoping for F-Zero or Star Fox, or some other Nintendo franchise they want to revive.

It's gonna be Starfox.

I would rather they made an entirely different game. People shouldn't let Retro get stigmatized with Metroid games. If anything, I would prefer Retro to do a Zelda game, rather than more Metroid Prime games. Just saying.
