I never have and never will trust game reviews. I dont even look at them.

Yes, they do. I like how hard the game journalism industry tries to deny it, too. Sessler recently made the most desperate video ever in an attempt to persuade people that their industry is on the up and up. It was super funny.
It hurted me...

I just read them, but never let them influence my buying purchase!
Don't know why, but I like reading review after I've thoroughly played a game to see if me and the reviewer had the same thoughts

I think it goes the other way too. Whenever a game I like gets a low score, its pretty obvious that the reviewer was hired by a rival company.

well not just sony, ms and nintendo but other publishers as well. i remember a gamespot critic got fired cause he gave a game bad score(kane and lynch i think) because the game publisher payed gamespot for good reviews.

I'm not sure they were necessarily hired by a rival but there is a lot of "I don't enjoy this particular type of game so I'm giving it a bad review." Basically if you dare to cater to a niche crowd it's a bad game.
