How worth it is it to register everything with Club Nintendo?

I'm totally willing to do some brief surveys and register my systems and products if it eventually nets me some sweet free or discounted deals, but if it's just like "Register 10,000 games and get an awkward looking t-shirt!", I'll pass.

Or become platinum status and could get one of these.

Platinum rewards are the only reason why I do the surveys.

Every month they put up games for the 3DS and Wii, possibly Wii U down the road that you can buy with your coins, too.

Most of the swag is crap. And it never changes. They give out some older games for free download, like N64's Paper Mario, but thats about it. IMO, its not worth it at all.

I don't understand this mentality. Do a quick survey and get free games and products? How could it possibly not worth it?

I'm saving my points up for a 3DS game. There's quite a few budget games I wouldn't mind getting for free.

He lost his credibility when he said "swag."

I personally love my Mario shoe laces (as does everyone who has seen them). And the fan is actually quite useful when making rice (you're supposed to fan it if you coat it in oil). And no one can deny having another nunchuck is useful...especially since it matches the gold wiimote from Skyward Sword.

Nifty. I'm only 130 coins away from Platinum just by virtue of registering my U, 3DS, and a handful of games.
