Kirby. I freaking loved return to dreamland and epic yarn.

At the moment Kirby is the strongest in the list going off history. Kirby games have been mostly quality ever since NES which is impressive.

The new Punch Out for the Wii was amazing...but nobody played it. Very hardcore.

Xenoblade is a series?

I've never understood the popularity of Kirby. I've tried playing many of the games and they just feel....too simple, I guess. They're not bad games, they're just not for me.

I wouldn't say Metroid is that big tbh...
even that Kirby is bigger than Metroid generally.

I would say Starfox, although that series (at least the one's I've played) has had 1 great one, an okay one, and an extremely hated one which isn't that bad. I think Starfox has the most room to grow. They can improve the rails sections, have levels that are fully all-range mode (more like Rogue Squadron), land sections either with Landmaster or on foot with fixed controls (the biggest problem in my eyes was the inability to properly aim and move, it worked in 64 with the landmaster because it was on rails and the movement was done for you).

There are also a lot of opportunities to add new things as well. Taking place in space allows for a lot of various different types of environments.

It's also one of the series that is very visual and benefits greatly from improved hardware.

Metroid shouldn't be considered as part of Nintendo's 'Big (insert number here)' anymore. They hardly care about that series.

In Japan, the Big Four are Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, and Kirby, aren't they? And don't some people consider Donkey Kong as part of the Main Mario series (along with Yoshi and Wario, even those three have their own game series, now)?

Nintendo has been treating kirby pretty good lately. We've gotten 4 new games in the last 3 years. Anyway I would pick star fox. We haven't had a console star fox game since 2005.
