Why don't you just rest in on your lap? Heck, I rested the remote+ and nunchuck on my lap when I play Skyward Sword.

What is wrong with resting your hands on your lap when you play? I do it all the time. Even with the PS3 controller. Not because the controllers are heavy and my arms get tired after hours of play, but mainly because it is more comfortable.

Well my chair to TV configuration is kinda weird and I have to look down at the gamepad so I find it easier to hold it like my 3DS which is up and not set down and resting on my lap.

I mean no one plays their 3ds on their lap I think... right?

This idea might be useful for you.

The back of the gamepad has a threaded 3 1/2" insert that can accept camera tripods and mounts.

I use an office chair infront of my tv and I have a C shaped arm that clamps to the outside of an arm of the chair and I attached a 3 1/2" bolt at the other end and it keeps the gamepad suspended infront of me handsfree.

I mainly did this for browsing,netflix/hulu and for games that may require the gamepad for certain gameplay aspects while controlling the game via motechucking,CCP or the Wii U Pro.

I hope that my idea was useful and it's a really easy build.

yeah but not all the games support the Pro Controller.

First off, I feel sorry for you. It's just slightly heavier than three DS units, which isn't that heavy, the shape is something you get used to, so it's a bit uncomfortable at first.

And where the hell are Pro Controllers 50 bucks?!
I see them for $25, at the Source. Jesus Christ, are they like, nipple and diming you in the US?
